Building Financial Confidence: Creating Pathways to Homeownership
Building Financial Confidence is a Community Development Financial Empowerment Program designed to equip residents with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to achieve long-term financial stability and economic self-sufficiency. The program focuses on strengthening household financial capability while reducing barriers to wealth-building opportunities.
Through workshops, one-on-one coaching, and community partnerships, participants receive guidance on budgeting, credit improvement, debt management, banking services, and savings strategies. The program also connects residents to homeownership preparation, housing stability resources, and other supportive services that promote financial resilience.
Building Financial Confidence supports individuals and families at every stage of their financial journey—whether they are working to regain stability, plan for future goals, or pursue homeownership. By empowering residents to make informed financial decisions, the program helps build stronger households, neighborhoods, and a more economically resilient community.
Led by facilitator Tasha Watson, each session offers practical insights, expert guidance, and valuable resources to help attendees take confident, actionable steps toward achieving their homeownership goals.
