Housing & Homebuyer Education Workshops
The City’s Community Development Department offers Housing and Homebuyer Education Workshops to help residents achieve and maintain homeownership. These workshops provide clear, practical guidance for first-time and prospective homebuyers throughout the homebuying process.
Participants learn about budgeting, credit readiness, mortgage options, the homebuying process, down payment and closing cost assistance, and long-term homeownership responsibilities. Qualified housing professionals and community partners with expertise in finance, lending, and fair housing lead the workshops.
These workshops reflect the City’s commitment to housing stability, affordable homeownership, and stronger neighborhoods. Attendance may also meet education requirements for some local, state, or federal housing assistance programs.
Workshops are available year-round to eligible residents.
