The City of Columbia Community Development Department will host a Day of Service in partnership with Richland County’s Community Development Department. This day will consist of staff stuffing the Storage with essential items (hygiene products, socks, undergarments, and other basic necessities) for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.

Join us as we celebrate by checking out informational booths provided by our City of Columbia departments and enjoy local food vendors with the Office of Business Opportunities Food Truck Friday.

Free shuttle service is available.

Join us for the Community Development Block Party during National Community Development Week.

The COMET provides a free shuttle from the Riverfront Parking Lot to Finlay Park for your convenience.

Shuttles run every 20 minutes between the parking lot and the park.

We encourage you to use this free service and join the celebration.

Each subrecipient of the City’s HUD federal funding plays a vital role in delivering programs and services that strengthen our community and improve residents lives. Each video will highlight the experiences of these organizations while showcasing the impact and importance of HUD federal funding for their programs.
